Mr. Basharat Ullah is heading the Fund Management division of AWT Investments. He has extensive experience of 25 years in Pakistani capital markets primarily in the field of investment management and buy/sell side research. He has worked in both asset management and brokerage industry, with 11 years in the mutual fund sector where he headed fund management divisions in two asset management companies- Arif Habib Investments and Askari Investments. Lieutenant Colonel Naeem Yasin (Retd) joined AWT Investments Limited during November, 2017 as Head of Distribution Coordination- Armed Forces. He is a graduate of Punjab University Lahore. He also holds qualifications in different courses in the field of Command, Staff, Telecom, IT, HR planning & Management, Military Law and other relative professional fields.
During his tenure in Pakistan Army he has served at various prestigious positions of Command, Staff, Intelligence and Instructional staff appointments at unit, Brigade, Division, Corps Headquarters and GHQ levels.
Mr. Shehzad Dhedhi is a Fellow Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) with over nineteen years of experience in financial sector. Mr. Dhedhi had been a successful CFO in spearheading the finance departments and management committees of large financial institutions since 2012 in both Singapore and Pakistan. His expertise include International Financial Reporting Standards, strategic planning and budgeting, project management, regulatory reporting and business transformation. He is a member of various committees of ICAP and one of the cofounders of CFO Club in Pakistan. Mr. Dhedhi completed his post-graduation from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi in 2004. He also earned 2 gold medals in his academic studies.
Mr. Makhdoom is currently serving as a Head of Risk & Compliance Department. His diverse experience of has been mainly as a risk professional in the banking industry. His pragmatic experience of managing various types of risks within the Banking industry in Pakistan is yielding dividends now in the asset management industry. He holds a degree in Actuarial Sciences & Risk Management from the University of Karachi and MBA degree from Karachi University Business School (KUBS).
Ms. Uzma Ajmal is Head of Human Resources in AWT Investments Limited. She has done Masters in Employment Studies from London Metropolitan University (CIPD) from England. Ms. Uzma has professional working experience of 11 years in different sectors including Telecom, IT, Banking, Law and Health Industries. Her career initiated from Pi sigma group of companies in capacity of HR assistant and served managerial roles in organization such as PTCL, FINCA Microfinance; during her tenure in London, she worked with companies like NHS and London solicitor firm. Ms. Uzma is a seasoned professional with hands on experience in Recruitment, Organizational Development, Training & Development and Employee Relation.
Mr. Ali is a chartered certified accountant and an associate member of Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants with more than ten years’ experience of working with multinational financial institution and chartered accountant audit firm. He has worked extensively in the disciplines of corporate governance, taxation, internal and external auditing. Prior to joining AWT Investments Limited, he served Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited in capacity of Executive Manager – Internal Audit with strong background and experience with internal audit methodology and techniques. Mr. Ali also holds the degree of Masters in Economics from University of Karachi.
Mr. Asif brings himself over 12 years of professional experience in Compliance, operations, audit and assurance. Prior to joining, he served in Pak Oman Asset Management Company Limited as Compliance officer and also served additional responsibilities in operations and Investor Services. Further he served as Head of Risk and Compliance in Primus Investment Management Company Limited and also served in same capacity in Pak Oman Asset Management Company Limited. He also worked with Riaz MSB Limited (UK) and completed his training from Riaz Ahmed, Saqib, Gohar and Co. (Chartered Accountants.) He holds Bachelors (Hons) in accounts and Fiancé from UK.
Mr. Muhammad Ali Javed has more than 13 years of work experience of Administration and Security in different Organizations. He started his career from Airports Security Force (ASF-Ministry of Defense) and worked in different departments i.e. MIS, Equipment Sections, FS Branch and also as Protocol Officer of Deputy Director General. He was later associated with Faysal Asset Management Limited (FAML) in the Capacity of Manager Administration, K-Electric and Karachi International Container Terminal Limited (KICTL).
Mr. Javed passed his Master in Economics from Islamia University Bahawalpur and, Executive MBA (HRM) from PIMSATS, Karachi.
